Need help valuing a coin

It is a coin from Norway.

Date - 1964
Obverse - Olav V Norges Konge; (the face of Kong Olav); Alt For Norge
Reverse - 5 Kr; (a crest of some kind); 1964

I would post a picture but I won't be able to until tomorrow when I can e-mail it to my computer from work.

Is it silver?

Try looking up coins on fleabay, the 25 and 10 coins were silver so you have a fair shot.

Yeah, I checked the Norwegian mint, ebay, norwegian coin websites, etc., but I couldn't find the alloy used in the 1964 coin. I suppose all I can do is take it down to my local bullion/coin dealer and see what he has to say.

For those wondering about what the coin looks like, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...id=p2759.l1259 is exactly what it is. I e-mailed the seller asking about the alloy of the coin.

Clearly, what I have has no numismatic value, but hey I might make one FRN off it.
